New Music We Crush #1: Good Morning – Escalator

Good Morning are hardly new kids on the block, and we remember the early days of the Shawcross EP but the guys are back with a new album Prize // Reward – out now on Bedroom Suck Records.

Escalator is on of my faves off the new album. Part weird, part soulful, all anxiety attack and death at a mall. There are some other true standouts on the album too. After You, Whose To Blame and Mirror Freak are darkly different but irrevocably the same. The perfect intersection of the dole wave, experimental, indie pop vibes, thrown in some free-jazz sax. Mood.

You can catch these guys playing 2 launch shows for the album at a *secret location* in Collingwood.
This Friday the 18th sees them playing with June Jones, A+ and M10 while next week they are playing with one of our fave new bands Real Love, along with Classic and Dusty Anastassiou. Tix are $15 and available here. Don’t miss out.
